It’s back to school again! How’s your first week going so far?
Sepanx? Crying blues? Baon problems?
I may not be able to help you with all those but I sure can help on that last one as I joined the Yummy Eats Baon Blowout last June 4, 2016. I’ve posted the recipes shared during the event so do read on.
It was held at the Glorietta Activity Center and it was set up like this.
Different food concessionaires lined up the floor to offer various food and drinks to the attendees. I was able to try Naan’s Indian bread with toppings. Yum! I love naans.
And almond milk from Made by Max. So fresh!
and Ube cake ice cream from Indulge Patisserie. Mmmm!
There were actually so much more but this post would be so long if I put them all here. Anyway, the program kickstarted with Trixie Mendoza, Yummy.ph’s Managing Editor, demonstrating “Baon-making with kids” with her niece.
They made these super simple Pinwheel Bites.

Nikki Garcia also wowed the crowd with her Bento Making skills. Those bentos are truly too nice to eat! I promise to try Bento Making soon! Do watch out for that. By the way, you can get your Bento supplies from Daiso (P88 store). It’s actually one of my favorite stores.
Lastly, Chef Len Santos-Ding of Feed 5000 and Yummy Magazine’s contributor, also whipped up 3 healthy baon dishes for everyone to try.

[yumprint-recipe id=’8′] I hope you find these healthy recipes helpful in your own meal and baon planning. 🙂 I’m off to try them out myself. 🙂
I like the pinwheel bites. My son loves sandwiches pero walang arte na ganyan, matry nga minsan ng maiba presentation ng baon niya. 🙂

Hi Cheryl, regarding Bento you don’t need to attend seminars (with fee) to learn that. I just check Pinterest and Instagram for ideas haha. Visit some of my previous works here- http://mommylevy.com/?s=bento+

I’ts always difficult to plan my son’s snacks and lunch for school because he’s a picky eater. I think I’m going back to this post every now and then to see what I can whip up for him.

The recipes are easy to make! I could’ve been there if only I was not busy on the day of the event. Sayang. But I would like to try out the pinwheel bites. Pang-merienda ni mister sa office. 🙂
