Here’s a quick update on what’s happening in the McDo Kiddie Crew Workshop this week. 🙂
Day 2
They started their shift by learning their first dance number. A TV monitor was set up in front and the kids were arranged in a formation so they can follow it. The dance consisted of jumping jacks, hand waves, and turns. It was pretty easy but DA still hasn’t warmed up so he just stood there, frozen. Hmmmph! Anyway, I left before he could act up any more than he already was.
When I came back to fetch him, I learned that they were able to do some artwork. They decorated this lunch bag with some colorful paint. They also got to take home the apron that they used during painting. I was told that they had Spaghetti as their meal and that DA finished his. Hungry much?
Day 3
As before, they started by practising their dance steps. DA still wasn’t moving so I stepped out again.
I came back to catch him “on floor”, serving and greeting a long line of customers. Here, he was using his step stool so he could reach the counter. It was a wise choice to bring it. 🙂
I also lined up to order some pancakes, something to keep me company while waiting. 🙂
After their duties, they went back inside and settled in to make their own Cheeseburger sandwich. They each donned their aprons and toque. Super cute!
They were then given the yellow wrapper and buns.
Add some ketchup (there was actually mustard also but he didn’t like it).
Onions and pickles.
Then the cheese.
And then the patty.
That was their food for the day but of course, my pancakes were yummier so I didn’t actually get to eat much of it.
Look at this! Awww, what a sight! 🙂
Day 4
By this time, DA had acclimated to his surroundings. He’s so much happier already. He and two other girls were stationed in window 1 of the Drive-Thru area.
He also got to try on the headset. It actually looks like he was talking to someone. 🙂
Another great part is that he was dancing already with his classmates when I checked up on him later on. Yipeee! Good job, DA! It looks like you’re really enjoying yourself already.
Too bad that the workshop’s already ending tomorrow.
Awww…
Oh well, be sure to show us your moves tomorrow! 😉
