When SIL learned about us getting in the habit of drinking lemon water (Healthy Habit Challenge Day 2), she mentioned that she has something that will help us keep the habit going. “It’s so easy to use and you can bring it anywhere!”, she had said. Piqued, I couldn’t wait to find out what it was.
It finally came the other day, a Citrus Zinger!
This is how it looks like out of the box. It also comes in pink and in orange but this green one looks so refreshing, don’t you think?
There are just three easy steps to follow, press, twist, and infuse. I couldn’t wait to give it a try!
Here they are after the initial wash. There’s the top cap, the bottle with the citrus press, and the cup.
After drying them, I put the top cap back onto the bottle (be sure to do this before squeezing anything or the juice will fall right through). I then got a sliced lemon and started squeezing it on the citrus press.
After squeezing the lemon, I left it there, seeds and all, and screwed in the cup. I then flipped it over and removed the top cap to put water. Ta-da! Here it is!
It’s my lemon water anytime and anywhere! I can just refill the bottle with more water if it gets empty. The flavor remains because it gets infused again from the remaining lemon in the cup.
I’ve been using it for a few days now and here are some things that I like about it:
- No seeds. Before having Citrus Zinger, I would squeeze the lemon directly into the pitcher of water. It’s all the lemon goodness, plus of course, the seeds. I would just scoop out the seeds from the separate drinking glasses. Too much trouble. With this, the seeds get trapped in the cup and do not go into the infused water. What a time-saver!
- Even on the go. I admit, I haven’t been able to keep the habit whenever I leave the house. With this however, I can have my lemon water wherever I go. Habit reinforced!
- Down to the Last Drop. Lemons are quite expensive, around P40 each (0.89 USD) and I’d very much like to squeeze it down to its last drop. Using the Citrus Zinger allows me to maximize the lemon because I can keep refilling the vessel with water until the lemon loses its flavor.
- Kid-Friendly. The kids get excited about squeezing the fruits that they get interested in drinking the flavoured water afterwards as well. Good for them! 🙂
- BPA-Free
A Couple of Tips:
- Be sure to wash your fruits properly before using as they will be submerged in your drinking water.
- Use standard sized fruits or cut it smaller first if they’re big. I tried a really big lemon and it blocked the water from flowing into and out of the cup.
- Use honey as a natural sweetener if kids don’t like the citrus taste of the water.
- For variety, mix and match fruits and spices. See below for some ideas.

Where to Buy
I took the liberty to ask SIL where she got this so that I can share it with you. The seller does not have a website yet but you can order yours here for only P250. 🙂
THANKS FOR SHARING THIS! Now I have a birthday gift for the hubby. 😀
My husband used to drink lemon water too! Thanks for sharing this! He will surely love to have one 🙂
Uy! I love this! I messaged the link you posted ha. Pero we’re not friends so baka mapunta sa “other” folder. Hahahaha! Nag-order agad? Hihihihi
FB lang kasi binigay e, walang other info. Ipasabi ko nalang kay SIL to check the “other” folder. 🙂
Wow, this is so cool! Thanks for the link.. will order one.
Yeah, I’ve heard about this but thought it was expensive! Di pala! I think I’m totally getting one soon. I also heard fruits that are too be submerged in water should be organic?
Oh yikes, I don’t use organic.
Oh! I am interested to have one of this as well. We always have lemon water at home and I just use an ordinary pitcher and a lemon squeezer. This is fun ‘coz its all-in-one less hassle.
True, less hassle than having separate squeezer.
Wow, this is really nice product. I l like lemon water too. I checked the FB page and I saw your review post there. 🙂
Ah really? Yey! 🙂
This is nice. Do you use a special soap/wash pa in cleaning the fruit? I mean since the skin will be immersed in the drink?
I just wash with tap water but I supppse you can wash it with natural baby bottle cleansers for a thorough clean. 🙂
I love this idea! I drink lemon water and this would be helpful!
Wow, a lot of people are into lemon water drinking! 🙂
I love this! I love adding lemon or orange in our water since per my mom, it is healthy 🙂 Will definitely get this. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
thanks for sharing my sister will love this one
where can i get one of these? I know someone who would need this.. thanks! 😀
Hi Liz 🙂 I posted the link where you can order it at the end of the post. It’s an FB page, just message her. 🙂
You just gave me an idea what to give my sisters. I’m not much into infused water but they are. Or maybe this will get me in the habit too. 🙂
I want! I also actually need a lemon squeezer. I’m thinking if I get this, I’ll get to use it as a water bottle and a lemon juicer 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
2-in-1 already 🙂
