The last time I’ve used gentle cleansers (you know, those non bubbly, no-scent kind), was when the kids were still babies.
Lately though, my youngest’s skin has been drier and more sensitive. His back literally feels like sandpaper! This has prompted me to look for an alternative body cleanser for him.
A friend recommended Vecirin, a daily gentle cleanser that’s suitable for use on the face and the body.
Why Vecirin?
I immediately took to it because of the following promise:
- No SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate)
- SLS, a known skin irritant, strips away the skin’s natural lipids, rendering it more susceptible to external irritants.
- No Parabens
- Parabens are artificial preservatives that has been in controversy for studies that say parabens are potentially toxic, linking it to cancer.
- Natural Ingredients
- Vecirin uses natural ingredients that are proven just as effective, yet mild and gentle on the skin.
Unlike normal body washes, this has a more watery feel.
It also does not form suds. It’s the kind that you can just rub off with a towel with no soap residue. This was good because it allowed lesser time under the warm water, which meant lesser chance of drying the skin. It also does not smell like anything, no sweet scent, no artificial fragrance.
We’ve been using it for a couple of weeks already and though the itch is still there, the skin isn’t as rough anymore. I know, I know. I’d really have to go to a dermatologist to have it checked out. In the meantime, it’s a comfort to know that with the switch I’ve made, it’s not the body cleanser that’s irritating his skin.
Safe even for Newborns
Speaking of gentle, I also learned that Vecirin is mild and gentle enough even for a newborn’s sensitive skin. I’m due to give birth in less than a month and what better way to prepare than to stock up on this brand of daily gentle cleanser!
Oh, shucks! Did I overdo it???
Where to Buy
Vecirin is available in the following stores:
- Watsons
- Mercury Dryg
- Online at Lazada
It retails at P319 for the 250mL bottle.
So many stocks it seems it is for a year supply. Ihihi. But we moms tend to overdo things especially if we find them effective on our kids. Nice choice you have there.

I have a sample sachet of this which I haven’t used yet. Pero mukha ngang maganda sya lalo para sa babies. I’m considering this product for my incoming baby girl because as mom’s we know naman na sensitive talaga ang skin ng mga newborn. 🙂
I have seen this brand around and wondered if it is really good. Thanks for the review. Will check out.

I will tell my sister to try this brand. My nieces have really sensitive skin. Super mahal ng nirecommend ng doctor.
Wow! Good for a year supply mommy.
I’ll check this out, my son has atopic dermatitis, we are currently using another gentle cleanser brand, but I’m also on the look for a better one. Thanks for sharing 🙂
My fighter has sensitive skin so this is a good alternative to our physiogel and mustela. However, I still prefer mild washes that still have a bit of lather 🙂
Have a safe delivery! When ny eldest my still a baby, I used Cetaphil for a couple of months pero we had to change kasi medyo pricey for us. Is Vecirin cheaper than Cetaphil?
That will last you a long time! 🙂 great to know there are products like this. My son is becoming more active everyday and more curious, so it worries me sometimes that he might get skin irritation from all the crawling he does. This might be the next body wash we’d try.
Haha. Ang dami. Parang pwedeng pang givrsway! Haha it looks like Cetaphil. This costs less. I might try this one when I go for vacation in the Philippines. 🙂
Is Vecirin imported? The packaging looks a lot like Cetaphil’s…

it’s good to know that there are other products out there that we can rely on when it comes to our sensitive skin

Oh I need to check this out. My daughter has a similar skin condition only that it’s on her legs. 🙁
The packaging looks like cetaphil lotion!

I have to look this up. My kids have uber sensitive skin, so I always make sure that their soap is gentle on their skin with no harsh chemicals. Congrats on your baby momma 🙂
I learned about Vecirin last year but haven’t been able to try it. Would love to try it for my baby though since his skin is still very sensitive.
I’m still a big believer of virgin coconut oil. But will keep this brand in mind just in case VCO doesn’t work.
That’s a lot of Vecirin you have there! Lol! Good to hear that you’ve found a brand that suits your son’s skin needs.

Around the same price din pala as Cetaphil. It’s good that there are now many options in the market for Paraben-free washes.

Looks like Cetaphil. Good thing that it uses natural ingredients that are proven just as effective, yet mild and gentle on the skin.
This is the first time I learned about Vecirin. It is a lot cheaper than the leading brands that we use at home.
Wow! That’s a lot! Glad to find a good alternative for a gentle cleanser. Will definitely check this out. Thanks for sharing!

Looks like Vecirin is a good alternative the popular and expensive one that we often use. Kids’ skin can be dry sometimes depending on the weather and it would require some TLC. Thanks for sharing this.
