To cap off the wonderful year that was, we took a 4-day trip to Jeju Island in Korea to experience some winter wonderland. One of the stops in our tour was Hello Kitty Island Museum and Cafe. This was a real treat for many of the girls in our group. Though not a fan, I had quite a good time going around the 3-storey building and taking photos of the world’s famous Japanese ca…character. π
This is the first scene that greeted us inside. As it was December when we went, there was a big Hello Kitty Christmas tree in the middle.
Here’s a closer look. It makes me want to take one home!
How nice!
In the next room were displays of Hello Kitty collectibles.
The next room led us into the interiors of the Hello Kitty House. I can just imagine my die hard Hello Kitty fan friends going gaga over this!
There’s SIL. Can you tell that she’s a huge fan? π
The Hello Kitty Bus, a part of the Hello Kitty School.
This is Dancing Sky High where participants can follow the dance steps on the screen.
Hello Kitty World, where the Kitties are suited up with the costumes of 27 different countries.
Art Gallery that features unique and eccentric Hello Kitty inspired artwork.
Here’s a very unique one.
Tourists enjoying the photo spots.
Star Sea, where one can watch twinkling Hello Kitty zodiac signs.
Hello Kitty Room. Perfect for a baby girl!
Rainbow Playtime. In other words, playground! π
There’s even rock climbing for kids!
Hello Kitty Cafe
3D Theater
Look at their toilet stalls! So cute!
Those mirrors! π
Sky Lounge up on the third floor.
The boys and the Kitty.
Brrr! An outdoor photo with the Hello Kitty family.
Though we joined a tour, I was curious about the entrance fee. I thought you might be too. π
Here’s a closer look. The ticket price for adults in a group is around P400 (USD 8.3~), not bad for hours of fun, especially if you are a huge Hello Kitty fan. π
Watch out for my next post on our Jeju Trip Highlights! π
I’m not a HK fan too but if we have chance to visit Jeju, I will also include this in my itinerary. I hope my son will like it. hehehe!

This is heaven for Hello Kitty lovers! Nice place! I remember my younger days, going crazy over Hello Kitty, Little Twin Stars and other Sanrio characters. Gift Gate in Makati was my place to go to back then. Thanks for sharing!
