In an effort to escape the summer heat, we decided to go to New Town Plaza, a shopping mall in Sha Tin, Hong Kong to cool off and also make a side trip to the world’s largest outdoor Snoopy park, Snoopy’s World.
After finishing lunch, DA could not contain his excitement so we decided to check it out even if the harsh noon sun was glaring at us. So much for escaping the summer heat! LOL!
There he is, everyone’s favorite beagle!
And again on top of his red dog house.
This is what’s inside the house. It looks like a living room with Charlie Brown sitting on the couch. DA had fun pretending to toast bread and pour juice for me haha.
Love this shot! 🙂 A top view of the floor reveals Snoopy and sidekick, Woodstock.
Birchwood School
There’s this school bus that the guests can climb up on. It’s air conditioned inside! Whew! What a respite from the heat! DA had fun pretending to be the bus driver inside.
There’s also a canoe ride where you can see more of the character models up close. We didn’t get to ride this anymore because DA was too happy with the next section…
the playground!
Wooohoooo!
Ball Park
How to Get There:
- MTR to Sha Tin Station, Exit A
Entrance Fee:
- FREE! 🙂
Verdict:
- Go there when it’s not so sunny (and not rainy) as it is an outdoor park.
- Do drop by if you happen to be going to the shopping mall or if you are nearby. DA had a grand time with the playground and the school bus.
- It’s more like a playground and photo-op park though so it’s not really a must-go unless of course you are a big Peanuts fan. 🙂
Wow! It’s really pretty! 😉 Plus your pictures are also very professionally done. 😉

Thanks, Jacq! 🙂
We’re always in HK but never get to reach Sha Tin! Hahaha!! 🙂 It’s so far kasi! 🙂
Will keep this in mind.
I find Sha Tin really nice and quiet, parang suburbs of HK. They have great restaurants too! yun lang, you’d need to be familiar with the mini buses as they don’t have much MTR stops in the city? You need to cab it to get around..

We were so far from Sha Tin din pero sinadya na din namin ito since we had nothing much planned and I wanted the tot to somehow enjoy the trip. Hehe 🙂
This is so cute! I’ve been to HK twice or thrice but we’ve never chanced upon this place. Maybe it’s on the other side of HK?
It’s on the blue MTR line, under new territories so maybe a bit far from the usual places that tourists go to. 🙂
It’s too bad that it’s more of a play park cause I really would’ve loved this more if it had actual rides.. oh well, if one’s staying in hong kong who has kids is near this place, then I think it’s a must see for them! 🙂

I love that it’s FREE! I wish we had more like this in the PH. Will take note of this when we get to visit HK. Thanks for sharing!
