Day 13: Get Moving


Our home for the past three years has been missing these – flights of stairs! Looking at the brighter side of leaving that home is moving into a new one with stairs – 2 flights, 8 steps each!

Back when I was still living with my family, my mom would always tell us to go up and down the stairs a couple of times everyday as our exercise. We don’t need to go the gym to keep fit, she said, we already have these perfect equipments. She’s right, of course. A couple of trips up and down made us expend energy, sweat, and more importantly, move. It felt good!

BRB, I’ll just go down for a quick midnight snack…

Back now.

I do miss the stairs! I was hopping and jumping all the way down and then back up. It felt so nice to be flexing my muscles, adding some movement to my otherwise sedentary lifestyle.

Gulp, I think I ate too much of a snack. I’d have to do some going up and down some more to compensate.
